YT-808 Rainier

Drydock Overhaul

Motive Power Marine completed a full drydock maintenance availability on the U.S. Navy harbor tug YT-808 Rainier, executing structural, mechanical, electrical, and preservation work in accordance with contract requirements and applicable technical references. The project required disciplined planning, multi-trade coordination, and strict quality and safety controls throughout execution.

Work included hull and deck inspections, steel repairs, and full preservation of underwater and topside surfaces. Mechanical and hydraulic systems were serviced and tested, electrical upgrades were completed including installation of a new Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), and the vessel’s exhaust stack tips were modified to improve configuration and performance. All work was supported by QA/QC oversight and completed with dock and sea trial verification, returning the vessel to service meeting operational readiness standards.
